The North Yarmouth Fire Company is a separate entity from North Yarmouth Fire Rescue (which is an official department within the Town of North Yarmouth). There is a great deal of overlap between the two organizations, however, and most members of the Fire Company are also active with NYFR.

The mission statement of the North Yarmouth Fire Company is:
- Create a strong bond to the community through outreach, education and interaction
- Be active participants in the community
- Promote good public relations
- Assist NYFR as needed
- Serve as knowledgeable role models
The Fire Company does a lot of fund-raising to help support NYFR and has purchased tools and flashlights for each firefighter, as well as the equipment needed for our EMTs to put on CPR classes for the community. The primary sources of the company's fund-raising efforts come from:
- Bottle and can donations
- Bean suppers
- Food sales at North Yarmouth Fun Day
- Monetary donations

You do not need to be a firefighter or an EMT to join the Fire Company! If you'd like to join to help support our first responders, please come to one of our monthly supper meetings on the second Monday of each odd month. Supper starts at 6pm and the meetings start at 7pm.
