Playground Committee

The North Yarmouth Playground Committee is hereby established to guide the planning, fundraising, design, and installation of a new public playground at the Wescustogo Hall & North Yarmouth Community Center. Working in close partnership with Community Center staff, the Committee will engage residents to identify community needs and preferences, develop a concept and site plan that reflects those priorities, and lead a coordinated fundraising effort to secure the resources necessary for project completion. All funds for the playground will be raised from the community—including grants, donations, and sponsorships—and will not rely on municipal tax revenue. The Committee will collaborate with Town staff and relevant boards to ensure compliance with safety standards, accessibility requirements, and local regulations, and will support project implementation through to completion. The Committee shall consist of 5–9 members representing a diversity of perspectives within the North Yarmouth community and will provide regular updates to the Select Board on its progress and recommendations.
