Senior Property Tax Assistance | Application Deadline July 31, 2026

Applications for the Town of North Yarmouth Senior Property Tax Assistance Program are available at the Town Office or you can download an application below. 

 

An applicant for a Property Tax Assistance Program Credit must meet all of the following criteria in order to be eligible to receive a Credit:

a. The applicant shall be 70 years of age or more at the time of the application;

b. The applicant owned or rented a homestead in the Town of North Yarmouth at the time of the application and for the five years prior to the date of application;

c. If owned by the applicant, the homestead was enrolled in the State of Maine Homestead Exemption Program (36 M.R.S. §§ 681-689) for the year preceding the date of application; and

d. The applicant received a property tax fairness credit, pursuant to 36 M.R.S. § 5219-KK, for the year preceding the date of application.
