Cumberland Historical Society Building Move
On Monday, April 20th crews will begin preparation work to move the Cumberland Historical Society from its existing location at 4 Blanchard Road to the Prince Memorial Library campus at 266 Main Street. - Monday, April 20th - Beginning at 10am the traffic lights will be taken down and the intersection will become a 4-way stop. The intersection will remain at 4-way stop until Tuesday, April 21st at 9am.
- Tuesday, April 21st - From 9am-8pm the intersection will be CLOSED. Residents will not be able to get through the intersection during this time frame. You must seek alternate routes! See the detour map below.
New Traffic Light Patterns in Falmouth | |
---|---|
The Maine Department of Transportation has activated the traffic lights at Bucknam and Legion Roads to support traffic movement from Interstate 295 and Bucknam Road during rush hour or incidents of unusual volume. Several changes were also implemented at traffic signals at the intersections of Middle (Route 9), Bucknam, and Falmouth Roads, known as Falmouth Corners. Residents are advised to pay careful attention to new traffic light patterns when approaching this area. Changes will impact all approaches to the Falmouth Corners intersection and how vehicular traffic moves through it. Once conditions return to normal and traffic volumes increase, Maine DOT will monitor and adjust the lights as necessary. |
