Public Works Dept. - Truck Driver | Equipment Operator | Laborer

The Town of North Yarmouth is seaking to hire a Truck Driver | Equipment Operator | Laborer. This position involves a combination of skilled and semi-skilled work within the Public Works Department.  The successful candidate must be able to drive and operate a truck with snowplow and wing, front-end loader with a bucket, and other miscellaneous road and grounds maintenance equipment. Must be extremely dependable and able to perform heavy physical labor and able to work in all weather conditions. Will be required to work other than normal working hours during storms and emergency events. Must possess a valid State of Maine Class B Commercial Driver’s License or the ability to obtain one within 6 months of employment.

 

This is a full-time position (40 hours per week) Monday - Thursday (6am to 4:30pm).  The Town of North Yarmouth offers an excellent benefit package including options for health, dental, and life insurance, short-term disability, retirement plan choices, paid vacations, sick time, and paid holidays and competitive wage.
