2022 General Election

Polls Open 7am to 8pm.

Polling Location:  Wescustogo Hall & North Yarmouth Community Center, 120 Memorial Highway.

Front Desk at the Town Office will be CLOSED on election day.  All other offices will be open. 

Ranked-choice voting (RCV) will be used in the 2022 State General election. Visit the State of Maine's RCV Resources page for more information about ranked-choice voting, including Frequently Asked Questions and sample ballots.


Absentee Ballots | Last Day to Request an Absentee Ballot 11/3/2022.

Options to Obtain Your Absentee Ballots:
  1. In Person: Stop by Town Office to pick up ballots for yourself/immediate family members (spouse, child, parent, sister/brother) or vote your own ballot in person.
  2. Over the Phone: Call the Clerk's Office at 829-3705 option #3  to request your ballot be mailed to you! Telephone requests must be made by the voter, only.
  3. Email:   Download and complete the  Absentee Ballot Request form than email it to townclerk@northyarmouth.org.
  4. Fax:  Download and complete the  Absentee Ballot Request form than fax it to (207) 829-3743.

Voter Registration

Residents can stop by during Town Office during office hours to register to vote or can complete a voter registration card through the mail/drop box. (Please note as of  October 19th, all registrations must occur in person at North Yarmouth Town Office or at the Polls on Election Day)

  • Download the Maine Voter Registration Card and fill it out completely. Include copies of the following:
    • Proof of Identity (Included, but not limited to, a drivers license, state ID, passport, social security number, or any other government issued identification. Please view the Proof of Identity for Voting Purposes for a complete list.)
    • Proof of Residency if your North Yarmouth address is not listed on your form of ID. (Included, but not limited to, a vehicle registration, hunting/fishing license, utility bill, etc. Please view the Maine Voting Residence Fact Sheet for a complete list.)
  • Return documents to the Town Office.  Place them in the drop box at Town Office or mail them to ATTN: Town Clerk's Office, Town of North Yarmouth, 10 Village Square RD, North Yarmouth, ME 04097
