Reminders from Town Hall - May 11, 2021

FIRE RESCUE TRAINING ANNOUNCEMENT

Beginning this week and continuing over the next few months, you may notice the Fire Rescue Department Training at 521 Walnut Hill Road (the building at the corner of Walnut Hill and Parsonage Roads). This is going to be an asset for the department to make training realistic for our members. There are not any plans for the department to complete any live-fire exercises in the building. The owner of this property is allowing us to invite our mutual aid partners to use the building as well. (departments from Cumberland, Falmouth, Gray, New Gloucester, and Yarmouth). We will be utilizing the building for search and rescue trainings, hose line advancements, ladder training, etc. We may use theatrical smoke during our activities which is generated by a smoke machine that uses a non-toxic water-based product.
