A reminder that the 1st bi-annual installment of 2023 property taxes are due on Thursday, September 15, 2022. 

NOTE:  At the Annual Town Meeting held on April 30, 2022 the residents of North Yarmouth voted to go back to bi-annual tax due dates.

   STORY WALK

Come celebrate the opening of the North Yarmouth Story Walk!

The unveiling will feature local author, Margaret Aitken's story Old Friends.  The heartfelt tale of a young girl who disguises herself to blend into a local Senior Citizens Group at the Community Center in hopes of finds someone like her Granny to spend time with.  The story celebrates found family, care giving, and the value of intergenerational friendships. 

 

The story walk celebration will take place Saturday, September 24th at 1pm on the lawn at Wescusutogo Hall & North Yarmouth Community Center.  There will be a small ceremony, a chance to walk and read, light refreshments and lawn games! Fun for the family and friends.

 

Rain Date:  Sunday, September 25th at 1pm

This year's event is packed with tons of activities for the whole family.  Enjoy amazing kites flown by the famous Nor'east Kite Club, live music and grilled food prepared by the North Yarmouth Fire Rescue Department.  You learn to juggle, make your own kite and have your face painted!  New this year - Cardboard Slide (down the sledding hill) and cornhole.

Enjoy the day flying kites, drones and remote air crafts or just hang out with neighbors, friends and family.

	November 8th General Election   The online portal is now open for the November 8th General Election.   Request your ballot here.   Please note the ballots won't be available until 30 days before Election Day. All requested ballots will be mailed as soon as possible, the week of October 11th.

The Community Recreation 2022 Fall Brochure is now available for viewing. In addition to the electronic copy, a paper version of brochure will be available at Cumberland Town, Prince Memorial Library and the North Yarmouth Community Center. Registrations begin for Fall/Early Winter Programs both online and in person beginning Tuesday, August 23rd at 8am.

	Outdoor Concert by Carolyn Currie     September 18th - 3pm 95 The Lane | NorthYarmouth   A well-known, folk-inspired artist, as she performs her original, award-winning music. Bring a chair and be prepared to sit back, relax, and listen to this very talented musician.   Admission is by donation to Skyline Farm, a nonprofit, all-volunteer organization. 	Prince Memorial Library   Outdoor movies are here!   The Wizard of Oz: Friday, Sept. 2 At 7:45 p.m. (Movie begins at 8 p.m.) On the library back lawn - No registration required   Bring a chair or a blanket to sit on.
