WARMING SHELTER WILL BE OPEN IF NEEDED

At first glance, we could be in for another nasty storm on Thursday. The forecasters are still working on it but as of now we can expect snow with high winds (over 30 mph) and low temperatures. Blowing snow could lead to blizzard conditions and the combination of snow and winds and low temps spell trouble if we lose power. North Yarmouth EMA, North Yarmouth Fire Rescue, and North Yarmouth Public Works are working to make sure the Town of North Yarmouth is prepared. If there is a power outage, North Yarmouth Fire Rescue will be opened as a warming shelter, we will allow for the charging of your electronic devices, our showers will be open for those in need, and you will be able to fill containers for drinking water and or water for toilets. If you are in need of a shower, we simply ask you to bring your our soap, shampoo, towels, and other personal products you may require.
