Employment Opportunity - Administrative Assistant to Code Enforcement & Assessing Departments The Town of North Yarmouth is looking for an Administrative Assistant to Code Enforcement & Assessing Departments to perform a variety of administrative and bookkeeping responsibilities. This is a 40 hour a week position, Mon-Thursday that will be required to work some evenings. The Town offers a competitive starting salary with a comprehensive benefit package. This is a responsible and challenging position providing direct support to the Assessor and Code Enforcement Officer. Candidates should have a minimum of three (3) years of experience in the administrative assistant field with proficiencies in computer skills (Microsoft based), record keeping, bookkeeping, and general office operations with minimal supervision required. The right candidate must be organized, possess excellent oral and written communications skills, and have the ability to multi-task. Municipal experience is preferred, but not required. Applications and resumes will be accepted until the position is filled by a suitable candidate. EOE

WINTER PARKING BAN Per the Roadway Ordinance, section 10, a Winter Parking Ban is in effect from October 15th to April 15th. Parking is prohibited on all public roads and ways during any snow/ice event. Any vehicles parked in violation of this ordinance may be towed at the owner's expense. | |
Winter sand is available for residents’ personal use. Each residential dwelling is eligible for up to 20 gallons (four 5 gallon pails) of sand per storm. The use of municipal sand for the sanding of private roads is prohibited. Sand pile is located at the entrance of the PWD facilities – 40 Parsonage Rd. | |
