Your Attention Please! We need everyone's help to Recycle Right, to lower our contamination rates and our tax costs.
Below is a message from 
. Each month we recieve an email like this regarding contaminated recycling in North Yamouth.
This message is only for the month of November. Please look at the NOTED CONTAMINANTS column.
This email is to notify you that some of the following load(s) of single sort recycling delivered to ecomaine have/has been deemed eligible for a warning or have been downgraded or rejected depending on the level of excessive contamination. Loads which are above 5% but lower than 25% contamination by volume are warned that that they are exceeding the threshold for clean recycling but will not be charged a contamination fee. Loads which contain 26% or higher contaminants by volume incur a per ton contamination fee in addition to the standard processing fee, when applicable. ecomaine may be able to help assist your town to address contamination through additional education such as outreach and brochures.
- Processing Fee = $35.00 per ton
- Contamination fee for loads with 26% or higher contamination = an additional $73.00 per ton for entire load
You will receive an invoice from us at the end of the month which will include these costs and fees if applicable.
