Planning Board is seeking new members!
 

Are you interested in shaping the overall future of North Yarmouth? 

You will have opportunities to participate in the review and discussion of new plans and projects proposed within the Town.

Responsibilities:

The Planning Board is comprised of five regular members and two alternate members, all who are residents of the Town of North Yarmouth appointed by the Select Board. The Planning Board’s principal responsibility is the review of subdivision and site plan applications to assure compliance with the Town’s Land Use Ordinance. The Board also proposes changes to the zoning map and North Yarmouth’s Land Use Ordinances.

Skills required of Planning Board members:

Attention to detail, listening, being fair & open-minded, being prepared, ability to communicate.

Public Works Dept. Truck Driver | Equipment Operator | Laborer

The Town of North Yarmouth is hiring a full-time Truck Driver | Equipment Operator | Laborer.

This position involves a combination of skilled and semi-skilled work within the Public Works Department.  The successful candidate must be able to drive and operate a truck with snowplow and wing, front-end loader with a bucket, and other miscellaneous road and ground maintenance equipment. Must be extremely dependable and able to perform heavy physical labor and able to work in all weather conditions. Will be required to work other than normal working hours during storms and emergency events. Must possess a valid State of Maine Class B Commercial Driver’s License or the ability to obtain one within 6 months of employment.

This is a full-time position offering a comprehensive benefit package and a competitive wage.

Outdoor Movies are back at Wescustogo Hall & North Yarmouth Community Center!

We will be kicking off the series with The Goonies. Join us Wednesday July 27th for FREE, thanks to our sponsor Patriot Insurance Company.

Bella Vespa, Cheese The Day, and Crêpe Elizabeth Food Truck will all be arriving at 6pm to get the party started with some delicious food. The movie will start around 8pm (dusk).

Outdoor Market featuring Farms, Artisans,  and Non-Profits
North Yarmouth will be hosting its “Outdoor Market” this summer, every Tuesday afternoon on the Village Green (475 Walnut Hill RD). The market is scheduled for Tuesdays through , August 23rd.
Each week will feature a variety of artisans, farms, and local noon-profits, selling every from fresh produce to jewelry, candles, and sea food. The market will feature about a dozen vendors each week offering an array of products. 2 food trucks will be joining this year.
 
Vendor spaces are available and can be reserved anytime if there is space available. All spaces are 10 x 20. If you are interested in participating as a vendor, please call (207) 829-5555 or email jhersey@northyarmouth.org

Join us for dinner, wine, and music at a kid-friendly venue to raise funds for land conservation in

Yarmouth, North Yarmouth, Pownal, Durham, New Gloucester, Gray, and Auburn.
