friends of Wescustogo         Why “Friends of Wescustogo”?

If you have not already done so, we recommend that you read “The North Yarmouth Gazette” Vol. XII, No 2 published by The North Yarmouth Historical Society as it explains in vivid detail how Wescustogo became the heart of our small town. If you are a long time resident, you probably recognize many of the family names and events inside its covers and smile in remembrance of all the good times you had. If you are just moving into town, you have a lot to look forward too!

In just a few short months, North Yarmouth will be the proud owner of a premier community center that will be unmatched within our local area.  Featured inside its doors will be multigenerational recreational programs; town functions; public use events; MSAD programs and gym functions and more!

The Select Board formed a committee in June 2018 that would implement and manage a fundraising campaign for the Wescustogo Hall & Community Center project.  We began organizing and chose to identify ourselves as the “Friends of Wescustogo” (FOW).  Visit our webpage at https://www.northyarmouth.org/friends-wescustogo or LIKE us on Facebook at https://www.facebook.com/wescustogo/.  Don’t forget to SHARE!

We have two opportunities for you to become a benefactor while leaving a legacy for future generations to remember you by.  Help us create a mosaic art display of the former Wescustogo Hall or sponsor an engraved barn board for paneling the lobby walls of the new Wescustogo. Upcoming FOW events include a Benefit Golf Tournament (featuring a new automobile as the Hole-in-One prize) in late September and a Silent Auction (with a secret, historical surprise) in early November.  More details to be announced.
