Soup & Cider Day

Hosted by the North Yarmouth Historical Society & Skyline Farm
soup and cider day
Event Date:
Sunday, October 15, 2017 - 12:00pm to 3:00pm

Beautiful Skyline Farm, North Yarmouth Historical's venerable cider press‚ and bushels of apples from Hansel's Orchard ... the perfect combination for a brisk Maine October day. This is fall at its best!

Come pitch apples into the hopper of the cider press, help turn the crank, and watch the liquid gold pour away. There will be plenty of cider for all and delicious homemade soup and breads, too.

Soup & Cider Day is traditionally a real community affair and, as always, we're asking for a few good cooks to contribute a crockpot of your best soup or your favorite cornbread or rolls. Every year brings a new culinary delight, thanks to talented and generous local kitchen experts. Please call (207) 846-4379 to let us know what you can bring.

This beloved event is open to all. Walk Skyline's trails… peek into the museum... have a hearty lunch ... drink 100% fresh cider ... pick a bushel of apples down the road at Hansel's Orchard.

An additional feature will be miniature horse-drawn wagon rides by Ben Lapointe of Greene, back by popular demand from Skyline’s Sleigh Day and Plow Day events.

Enjoy a beautiful fall day. Dress warmly! Donations are welcomed.
